Exam Preparation

Three major indoor air quality associations consolidated in 2005: Indoor Air Quality Association (IAQA), American IAQ Council (AmIAQC) and Indoor Environmental Standards Organization (IESO).  All of the certification examinations for the three organizations will now be under the charter of the AmIAQC.

AmIAQC examinations are closed book and do not require participation in any preparatory classes.  Although you have the option of taking the exam without preparation, it is not recommended, even for those with decades of experience.

The Invironment Institute offers you three options for AmIAQC exam preparation:

  • Practice Exam

  • Certification Courses

  • Online Classes

Practice Exam

Before you take an important examination, take the practice test.  Our exams are formatted similar to the real ones.  You will be tested on the same exact topics as the real examination.  If you're interested in taking the practice exam for the CIE and CIEC, click HERE.

On-Site Certification Courses

To best prepare for AmIAQC certification exams, attend an INvironment Institute certification course.  These classes last for 3-4 days and are offered throughout the United States.  Not only will you be prepared for the examination, but you will gain valuable skills needed to perform assessments and remediation of indoor environments.  Click HERE for a list of our upcoming certification courses.

Online Certification Courses

If you don't have the time or budget to attend an on-site course, consider taking the same program online.  You'll save thousands on travel expenses.  You can take the self-paced course any time of day or night.  Click HERE for more information.
