Continuing Education
For
certifications from the American Indoor Air Quality Council, you will
need to document 24 hours of certification renewal credits (CRCs) every
two years. Let the INvironment Institute help you get your needed
credits through our online and on site classes. All of our courses
have gone through the approval process from the AmIAQC to ensure that
your time in our classes will be recognized.
Certification renewal credits are awarded for each
hour of approved training you receive. Your continuing
education should train you in new or advanced topics. Basic
classes that only reiterate the skills required for your certification
may not qualify.
Here are your major options for receiving
continuing education:
- Participate in our online training classes. Our classes are
divided into short, targeted topics that help you get credits one hour
at a time. The advantage of online classes is that they can fill
in an hour or two without having to travel. Click HERE for a list of online classes.
- Attend the annual meeting for an industry association and go to their
technical sessions. Examples of associations include the Indoor
Air Quality Association (IAQA), American Society of Heating,
Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) or American
Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA). The advantage of this
approach is that you can obtain all of your required credits within a
few days.
- Join your local Indoor Air Quality Association chapter and get involved
organizing local events. Visit the IAQA's website for more
information on local chapters: www.iaqa.org.
- Read an AmIAQC recognized reference book and take a test to prove your
new knowledge on the subject. For more details, visit the AmIAQC
website: www.iaqcouncil.org.
